Massage Therapy

Dr. Kessler has been practicing Massage Therapy since 1983. She graduated from the New Center for Wholistic Health, Education, and Research in 1984. She has been active in the Massage Profession since 1986 and served on the NYSSMMT Board as a Board Member, Medical Massage Director, and Law and Legislative Person. She lobbied for the title change in 1989 from Masseur to Massage Therapist; the Bill which became Law in March 1990. She also donated her time to coordinate the Massage in the Triage Tent of the Long Island Marathon for 8 years, and donated her time to many other sporting events. Dr. Kessler has coordinated many workshops and facilitated many others.

Dr. Kessler has taken many workshops over the past 20 years and has an expertise in treating people with various medical conditions. She treats many patients who have been in car accidents and have sustained neck, back, shoulder, knee, leg and other injuries.

Even though Dr. Kessler does not accept any insurance in her practice, she will be happy to give you a super bill so you can submit it to your insurance.

Her passion is to help patients who have been to other health care practitioners with little or no result. In many cases patients can be helped to a significant degree, as she has a vast amount of knowledge that she can draw from. She believes that all patients are individuals and what is effective for one may not be beneficial to another. Dr. Kessler is constantly looking for effective ways to treat her patients. She prefers to look for ways to help the body help itself without herbs or drugs. She believes the body is multifaceted and, with the right combination of treatments the body can heal itself.
